"It appears at this time that Jagjit Singh broke the established drumming record set by Suresh Joachim Arulanantham at 84 hours, on a drum kit. I believe this is where the two records became independent of one another, as Suresh Joachim Arulanantham is noted as being the '13th drummer since 2000' to break the record, in 2004 (see Drums). The implication being that all prior efforts (including Kuzhalmannam G Ramakrishnan's 36 hour hand drumming in 2004) were in the same category up until this point." - JR
